Ethnicity, State and Utopia: An Essay on Social Justice and Russia’s Future

Matthew Raphael Johnson,
Founder and Editor, The American Journal of Russian and Slavic Studies (Now The Orthodox Mediavalist)

This essay is really a set of older essays I have written on Russia, social justice and nationalism. For those who follow my writings closely, nothing here is really new. For those who are interested in a vew vision of Russia and its relationship to nationalism and ethnic mobilization, this lengthy essay might be a start in the proper direction. It is just a start. It is a summary of a few scattered ideas on the relationship between Russian politics, her future and the nature of nationalism as a moral idea. I give free jurisdiction to whoever wants to copy and distribute this book, provided it is reprinted in full, and with the author’s name attached–MRJ, October 11, 2006.
